LAKE FENTON HIGH SCHOOL: 7
Owosso Soccer fell to Lake Fenton, 0-7. The team gave up 4 first half shots, 2 of which resulted from unmarked players. Second half efforts were much stronger overall, even though another 3 shots went. We had many scoring opportunities, but ultimately ended with 4 shots, compared to our opponent's 17. Izzy Jameson made 5 first half saves, while Adeline Mahoney stepped into the second half role with 7 saves. Both keepers made strong stops off their line. Solid overall play was highlighted by Rorie Babcock, Ainsley Lintner, Onaleigh McVay, and Aisha Davis. All 4 players made massive stops to keep our team in the game. Babcock and McVay seem to appear out of nowhere, sometimes, to make impressive tackles. Although we were outplayed, tonight, I was impressed the second half effort to keep battling.
